High Quality Fabrics

High Quality Fabrics

We offer an extensive range of high-quality fabrics at Modern Suit Samui. Our fabrics come in a range of colours and textures, to suit all preferences. We only use the highest quality fabrics for our loyal customers. Below are just some of the fabrics we stock.

Cotton

Cotton is derived from the cotton plant and is a soft fibre. It can be made into a thread once it is removed from the plant. We use that thread to make it into cloth. Cotton fabric is a hypoallergenic, sustainable and breathable fabric that is easy to move around in. It is also very comfortable in hot weather. At Modern Suit, we have an extensive range of cotton fabrics available for you to choose from. We often use cotton for shirts and blouses, and they are a popular choice for pants as well. Cotton looks great both for casual and formal clothing.

Wool

Wool is a textile fibre and is derived from sheep and a few other animal species. The biggest appeal of wool garments is that they hold in heat extremely well. Additional benefits of wool include its durability and its versatility, as it can be woven into both heavy, coarse fabrics and lightweight, soft fabrics. The most popular types of wool are Angora, Mohair, Cashmere or Merino. At Modern Suit, we have a great number of wool products available. This fabric works well for jackets, pants, suits or coats.

Linen

Linen is a textile made from the fibres of the flax plant. Linen is a natural fibre, like cotton, but it takes longer to harvest and make into the fabric, as flax fibres can be difficult to weave. The fibres are extracted from the plant and stored for long periods of time to soften the fibres. Linen is very strong, absorbent, and dries faster than cotton. Because of these properties, linen is comfortable to wear in hot weather and gets softer with every wash. At Modern Suit, we have a range of linen fabrics available for you, to be used for pants, shirts and even suits.

Silk

Silk is the strongest natural protein fibre composed mainly of Fibroin, it is a shimmering textile known for its satin texture and famous for being a luxurious fabric. Silk is mostly produced from silkworms, small creatures which mostly live on mulberry leaves. Silk is a hypoallergenic fabric and is ideal for both humid, and dry climates and temperatures. It naturally regulates skin temperature, giving a cooling and non-sticky feeling to the touch. It can be used in a number of different products: dresses, suits, shirts, ties, pyjamas, robes and high fashion garments. At Modern Suit, we can custom tailor many kinds of silk garments, including traditional Japanese, Chinese, or Thai attire.

Blended fabrics

Do you want to try something different? Try our blended fabrics. Blended textiles are fabrics produced with a combination of two or more types of different fibres to obtain desired traits and aesthetics. Some of the best-selling combinations include cashmere and wool, viscose and silk, polyester and linen and linen and silk. They are a very popular choice for shirts, dresses, blouses and more.
